* Message from Festival Director *

It's a great motivation for me to share my experiences of organizing Dehradun International Film Festival. After eight successful years, it really does seem like each year keeps getting better. The goal of the Dehradun International Film Festival, as it's known in the City, is to raise awareness among the public for Film to inform, educate and question what we see. It also aims to facilitate creative, contemplative minds and to assemble filmmakers and movie lovers in a community where they can discuss their interests. Dehradun International Film Festival aims at providing not only a common platform for the cinematic world to showcase their best masterpieces but also to understand different film cultures across the globe. Dehradun International Film Festival intends to lay the foundation stone of friendship among the global film makers, become an eye opener for amateur film makers, provide an ambience of learning experience for all film lovers, critics and open new horizons for joint ventures. As usual, this year's festival has delivered a hugely diverse array of national and international films, compelling documentaries, instructive workshops and panels, and other special events. I encourage everyone to experience the art of Film festival once in a lifetime and feel life cinematically. Take a chance and see something new. You may be surprised how much there is to learn, and how many places there are to see, and new people to meet.
